PROFILE
I am a neurosurgery specialist and a graduate of the Medical University of Silesia. My
specialty training in neurosurgery was completed at the University Clinical Hospital in Opole.
Currently, I work in the Neurosurgery departments at the Regional Specialist Hospital in Opole, the
University Hospital, and the Center for Minimally Invasive Spine and Peripheral Nerve Surgery in
Opole. My primary interest is in spine surgery, with an emphasis on minimally invasive and
percutaneous techniques, and a special focus on endoscopic solutions. I have performed
approximately 700 endoscopic procedures on the lumbar and cervical spine, including stabilization
surgeries.
In addition, I am involved in CNS oncology, performing operations for glioma resection
(including awake surgeries using Gliolan), skull base tumors, spinal tumors, and the microsurgical
treatment of vascular diseases, such as aneurysm clipping. I have received international training in
various countries, including Singapore, Barcelona, Belfast, and the USA, and have participated in
global neurosurgical congresses in Boston, Hong Kong, Istanbul, and Singapore.
In 2021, I have completed my PhD at the Medical University of Silesia, titled "Results of
Treating Discogenic Pain Syndromes of the Lumbar Spine with Ethanol Gel Chemonucleolysis".
I have completed a series of trainings with the European Association of Neurosurgical
Societies (EANS), culminating in passing the European specialty examination.
I am a graduate of the prestigious AOSpine Spine Fellowship at Okayama Rosai Hospital in
Japan, where I completed a month-long training internship in 2022.
In 2023, I completed a training internship in endoscopic spine surgery at Harrison Spinartus
Hospital in Seoul.
I have also completed an MBA in Healthcare, and since early 2023, I have served as the
Deputy Head of the Neurosurgery Department at the Regional Specialist Hospital in Opole.
